• Do you do on-site
work?
Love to. If you have a job that needs done on-site in the Bay Area
(or Hawaii, New Zealand, Oaxaca…) we can probably work something
out. My rates are always reasonable, though you might have to kick
in travel expenses.
•What types of payment do you accept?
Cash – Checks – Money Orders – Paypal
•What professional
experience do you have?
I've been reading and correcting mistakes
for almost 30 years. My professional proofreading career began in 1991
at BPC, a legal publishing company in Seattle, WA. I proofread catalogs, marketing materials and
political advertisements for Haggin Marketing and AMS Communications,
as well as business plans and publicity documents for many woman-owned
small businesses in Northern California - check out JAK Designs.
I fact-check resource books (see Babies By The Bay) and travel guides
(see Hidden Wyoming) and I have done professional resume and cover
letter writing and revising for individuals and career training programs
all over the Bay Area. In addition, I assist with applications for
juried events and tradeshows across the US. More and more websites
have my hand on them these days, too (see
www.torron.net).

of documents do you proof?
Business documents: letters, contracts, business plans, proposals,
employee manuals, emails, service agreements, invoices, applications,
annual/quarterly reports and more.
Marketing materials: catalogs, flyers, pamphlets, brochures, menus,
advertisements (including print and radio), business cards, posters,
press releases and more.
